Itinerary
Day 1-2: U.S.A-Guangzhou
| Depart
from U.S.A and fly to Guangzhou, the biggest
city in Southern China. |
Day 3: Guangzhou-Guilin (B,L,D)
Guangzhou is a civilized ancient city with a
history of more than 2200 years. After a
welcome by our representative at the
Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, a city tour is
arranged to visit the 72 Martyrs Mausoleum,
Dr. Sun Yet-Sen's Memorial Hall . Then you
will take a flight to Guilin in the evening.

Day 4: Guilin (B,L,D)
| The
scenery of Guilin has been called the finest
under heaven, and is South China's shining
pearl, with verdant mountains, elegant
waters, magnificent crags and fantastic
caverns. Cruise down the Li River today, you
will be attracted by the fabulous natural
scenery of Guilin. Limestone spires rising
out of the flat ground, with often
perpendicular cliffs and trees sprouting
from the cracks to bend skyward- absolutely
a marvelous view you can hardly find
anywhere else. You will visit the Elephant
Trunk Hill. |
Day 5: Guilin-Kunming (B,L,D)
After
breakfast you will visit the Reed Flute Cave
before flying to Kunming - the capital city
of Yunnan Province with a population of 3.7
million. It stands at an altitude of 1,895
meters with an annual average temperature of
15C, no wonder why it has got a sobriquet
"Spring City"

Day 6: Kunming-Shilin-Kunming (B,L,D)
| After
breakfast, take a full day excursion to
Shilin (Stone Forest). It is located at the
southeast of Kunming city, covering an area
of 1657 square miles. Due to erosion and
brushing along the crevices of limestone
over aeons by sea waters, the sea bottom was
broken up and moulded into a multitude of
stone pillars, V-shaped gorges and eroded
cracks. A myriad of grotesque pinnacles shot
up and formed a spectacular stone forest.
You will visit Dragon Gate of Western Hill
.A traditional Yunnan style dinner will be
served. |
Day 7: Kunming-Dali (B,L,D)
After
breakfast,.our bus will travel west to Dali,
traditionally one of the best places in
China to tune in, turn on, and drop out for
a while, remains a wonderful place to visit.
You will visit Xizhou Village with Bai Style
Buildings. Then, you will visit Lake Erhai
and the oldest architectural structures in
Southwest China-The Three Pagodas.

Day 8: Dali-Lijiang (B,L,D)
You
will travel north today to the home of
Naxi-Lijiang and the Black Dragon Pool. The
Naxi is a proud, if small, ethnic group and
have held on to many of their traditions,
despite the encroachment of modern life.
Lijiang boasts more than four full
traditional orchestras, including the
transverse flute, three stringed banjo,
Chinese lutes, giant cymbals and a
fish-shaped wooden drum.

Day 9: Lijiang (B,L,D)
|
Morning visiting the Jade Dragon Snow
Mountain which is also known as Mount
Satseto, 5600 meters above the plains, the
highest among the Himalayan peaks. Visit
Baisha Village, the ancient capital of the
Naxi Kingdom. |
Day 10: Lijiang-Shangrila (B,L,D)
| The
day begins with a stop at Tiger Leap Gorge.
It is 12 miles long with a natural drop of
623 feet.
A thunderous roar can be heard as water
cascades through the gorge. The difference
in height between Jade Dragon Peak and the
riverbed in 12,792 feet. About 25 Miles from
the city of Shangri-La, you'll come upon the
Shangri-La Grassland. In may and June, whole
grassland presents a glorious view, covered
as it is with azalea flowers. This is the
place commonly believed to have been
depicted as the mythical Shangri-La in James
Hilton's Lost Horizon.

Day 11: Shangrila (B,L,D)
| Rise
early in the morning as we venture to
Songzan Temple, the largest Lhamasery
existing outside of Tiben. Later we journey
by coach to Napahai, a beautiful scenic spot
that typifies how Shangrila blends
harmoniously with nature, worshipped by the
Tibetan Minorities as a deity. |
Day 12: Shangrila-Lijiang-Guangzhou-U.S.A. (B,L,D)

Morning return to Lijiang and fly back to
Guangzhou with an immediate connection to
Los Angeles. |
